Kendras Graduation!

So graduation weekend was crazy! Ember first graduated on Friday May22 at noon in Sacramento, and Kendra graduated the next day at 8am in San Diego...only to then be in Sacramento again the following day on Sunday for their joint graduation party..and we drove the whole trip! And dont forget I drive from Santa Barbara to Sacramento first and then back again. Needless to say 2,200 miles on the rental car! But beyond the driving, it was a monumental occasion for both Ember and Kendra! I am so proud of both of them!

Family in LA

Ok...things in Santa Barbara are much better now. The fires are still burning, but a much improved situation. I was able to leave Saturday to head to LA to visit my grandmother for Mothers Day. My cousins were also able to come and meet up with us. We ventured to Union Station and got a couple brother & sister shots.

Evacuation Shelter

The fires are starting to be contained. Today, some evacuation orders have been lifted so folks are starting to go home. Its been amazing watching all the community come together to lend a helping hand. The Governor stop by at the Recreational Center earlier and I was able to get a couple of shots. Rob Lowe accompanied him on his tour.

Jesusita Fire

I'm sure all of you have heard about the fires in Santa Barbara. These are a few pics from last night, just as the fire was getting very close to where people live. As of right now I am still safe, but if the fire continues in my direction, that could change very fast.
